SCIENCE SHIP: Vantablack & asteroids hitting satellites

It’s been described as the closest thing to a black hole humans will see.

Vantablack is a material created with nanotechnology which absorbs 99.96 per cent of all light.

So, what is it used for?

660’S Jonathan Muma hopped on board the Science Ship with Saint Mary’s University Astrophysicist Dr. Rob Thacker to find out:

 

Asteroids are constantly whizzing by the earth: some of them at distances closer than the moon.

With all those satellites up there, it makes you wonder if an asteroid could take some out, without crashing into the earth.
