Jonathan Muma

Supervising Producer

About Jonathan

Born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, Jonathan has more than a decade of experience in newspaper, television, and radio reporting. After helping CityNews Calgary launch its evening newscast as the National VJ, he is now the Supervising Producer. Jonathan has an honours degree in Communications and Anthropology from York University, as well as a diploma in journalism and a certificate in journalism from Seneca College. Getting his start working the graveyard shift at then-680 NEWS in Toronto, Jonathan packed up and went east to what was previously Halifax's NEWS 95.7. He spent much of his time covering municipal and provincial politics, as well as hosting talk shows before taking on the role of senior newsroom reporter. Jonathan landed in Calgary in the spring of 2014 and spent four years as the senior morning reporter at CityNews 660 -- then 660 NEWS -- covering all the breaking news before the sunrise (and the top stories which played out during the day as well). He also hosted the nationally syndicated Science Ship and web series Business of Tech. An avid sports fan, you can find Jonathan cheering on any number of teams around the world, running along the Elbow River, or hurrying hard at the curling club.
