Edmonton man charged with uttering threats against prime minister

RCMP have charged an Edmonton man, who police say made threats against the Canadian government and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The Integrated National Security Enforcement Team says the comments were posted on social media.

Robert Dale Kerr, of Edmonton, faces one count of uttering threats.

He has been released from custody but he’s banned from going within 500 meters of any place were Trudeau may be in attendance, he can’t leave Alberta and isn’t allowed to access any social media sites.

Kerr will appear in court Thursday morning (Feb. 22).
