Lineup released for Sled Island 2016

Over 250 bands, comedy acts, films and art will descend on Calgary in mid-June for Sled Island 2016.
Indie rock band Guided By Voices announced a reunion that will include a stop at the festival. The band will headline Sled Island’s main outdoor show at Olympic Plaza on June 25. They’ll be joined by Built To Spill and krautrock-inspired experimenters SUUNS.
Other artists appearing at the festival include Deafheaven, The Sonics, Angel Olsen, Julia Holter, HEALTH, Tortoise, Protomartyr, Psychic TV, Dawn Of Midi, New Bomb Turks, Radioactivity and Duchess Says.
Provocative musician/producer/filmmaker/performance artist Peaches will join Sled Island as guest curator.
Sled Island runs from June 22 – 26 across more than 35 Calgary venues.
Tickets to select Sled Island shows go on sale Friday February 12th at 10am MST at SledIsland.com, Sloth Records (736B 17th Ave. SW) and Lukes Drug Mart (112 4th St. NE).
