Theatre Calgary looking for doggy drama

Your dog could be a future star with Theatre Calgary.
Shakespeare by the Bow is holding an open audition to find two canines.
Christopher Loach, the theatre’s communications director, said this will add a new level of realism.
“This year we’re doing the Two Gentlemen of Verona and it calls for a dog. Now, back in Shakespeare’s day, quite often an actor would play a dog, but we’re going to take it one step further and we’re going to use a real dog this year,” he said.
The open audition is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Prince’s Island Park.
