Mounties looking for suspect after man with snowblower struck in central Alberta hit and run

Coronation RCMP are looking to the public for help after a pedestrian was struck in a hit and run while pushing his snowblower.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. on February 14, 2018 in the central Alberta village of Castor, about 143 kilometers east of Red Deer.

According to Mounties, the driver was stunting as he travelled east on 52 Avenue. The pickup then made its way through the intersection at 51 Street when it lost control and struck the man.

It didn’t stop and continued eastbound towards Gus Wetter School, no one was seriously hurt.

The truck is being described as a newer model, blue, 4-door pickup truck. The driver is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35 years old with dark hair and a moustache.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Coronation RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
