It’s a big day for Stamps and Eskimo fans as their favourite teams vy for a spot in the Grey Cup.

Calgary faces Edmonton in the CFL Western Final at McMahon Stadium on Sunday.

The forecast for for game day is a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 7.

Breakfast Television and 660 NEWS meteorologist Andrew Schultz is also the official meteorologist for the Stamps.

“I talk to them before every game and I have for about the past fifteen years or so. So I have an opportunity to talk to the coaches and the special teams folks and let them know about conditions on the field, wind conditions are very important,” said Schultz.

This is the third time in four years the Battle of Alberta rivals met in this championship. Calgary won the 2014 game en route to a Grey Cup title and Edmonton prevailed in 2015.

The Stampeders earned the right to host this season’s big game thanks to a league-best 13-4-1 record during the regular season.

Fans are encouraged to head to the stadium early for some tailgating in the east parking lot from noon until 2 p.m. A couple of Stamps players will be signing autographs.

According to the Stampeders Football Club, just before start time, four CT-155 Hawk jets with the Royal Canadian Air Force will do a flyover.

Kickoff is at 2:30.
