Calgary man charged in crash that killed his daughter

A 52-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences relating to a car crash that killed his 17-year-old daughter.

Michael Shaun Bomford, 52, is facing six charges in connection to the October 18th collision that ended up killing teenager Meghan Bomford.

Just before 5 p.m. on that Tuesday, the driver of a 2002 Jeep Liberty, travelling west on McKnight Boulevard N.E. lost control and the vehicle rotated counter clockwise to a far right lane, entered the centre median, and eventually rolled across the eastbound lanes of McKnight, between 68 Street and 52 Street.

All three people in the vehicle were ejected and transported to hospital.

16-year-old Kelsey Nelson sustained serious injuries, but survived, as did the driver.
