EDMONTON – Police say a toddler found dead outside an Edmonton church last week lived a horrible life of violence and abuse.
Homicide Staff Sgt. Duane Hunter says the 19-month-old boy had bruises all over his body and died of head trauma before he was dumped outside.
The boy’s 26-year-old father Joey Crier and Crier’s 25-year-old girlfriend Tasha Mack have both been charged with second-degree murder.
The boy has been identified by family as Anthony Joseph Raine.
Hunter says police have not determined a motive for the abuse the boy suffered.
Police believe Anthony’s body was dumped outside the church on Tuesday — three days before it was discovered.
