Calgary ripe for expansion says one of Canada’s youngest female CEOs

The woman at the helm of Canada’s largest party plan company will be in Calgary this week.

Epicure is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It was founded by Sylvie Rochette in her own home, where she developed spice and seasoning blends because she wanted her children to eat healthier.

The time-saving, gluten-free, nut-free products are helping a million Canadian families get back in the kitchen.

Sylvie’s daughter, Amelia Warren, is now the CEO. She said there’s so much untapped potential in Calgary.

“I’m in Calgary to spend some time with some of our top leaders and consultants in the area,” said Warren.

“While we have been in business for 20 years, we have identified that Calgary is actually an area of huge opportunity for us. So, we are meeting with prospective entrepreneurs as well as doing in-home cooking classes for people who have never heard of us.”

Warren added they’ve only touched 10 per cent of Canadians, meaning there is a huge opportunity to grow, especially with all the people dealing with food sensitivities or who just want to cook and eat in a way that creates health and wellness in their lives.

The 32-year-old is one of the youngest female CEOs in the country and was recently named to the B.C. Business 40 under 40.

She also made Profit Magazine’s W100 Top Canadian Entrepreneurs.
