Police releasing photos of suspect wanted in connection a string of commercial robberies.

Calgary Police are releasing images of the suspect they say is responsible for a string of commercial robberies throughout the city.

Two incidents involving M&M Meat Shops were targeted.

Investigators say the suspect matches the description in four other incidents that took place at a convenience store and pet stores around Calgary.

On Wednesday, he was spotted at Highland Convenience Store in the 100 block of 40 Avenue N.W.. Earlier in the month he was seen at Tail Blazers pet store in the 15,000 block of McIvor Boulevard S.E. and on Saturday August 18th he was at Pet Planet in the 10,000 block of Elbow Drive S.W.

There were also incidents at a Global Pet Foods in the deep south and a Pet Smart in the Southwest.

In each case, he would approach the clerk with an item from the storm and when he reached the till, he would tell the clerk to hand over the money.

He then produced a small switch-blade knife and in one of the cases, a machete.

Investigators add each time, the suspect apologizes to the clerk in saying “I am sorry, I don’t want to hurt anyone.”

He’s being described as white with a pale complexion, between 27 to 32 years old and is believed to be 5’10”, skinny with dark curly hair and a small stubble.

He wears prescription glasses, dark-=blue jeans and a hoodie-style sweater.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the police or CrimeStoppers.
