Close call for Cochrane RCMP while investigating string of stolen vehicles

A close call for a Cochrane RCMP officer after confronting suspects in a stolen vehicle case on the Stoney Nakoda First Nation.
Mounties had been called to the remote area around 7:30 Thursday morning over reports of a stolen pick-up and trailer, when they confronted the people inside collided with the cruiser.
No one was hurt in the ordeal and the pick-up and trailer were later found abandoned in Airdrie.
It’s believed those inside were able to steal another vehicle that they left abandoned in a remote section of Maskwacis.
A search was conducted was conducted and one suspect arrested.
The investigation is on-going .
