Calgarians invited to have Fun in the 50s this weekend

PROSTAID Calgary is holding its big event of the show and shine season this weekend: the Fun in the 50s Festival.

Over 300 classic cars will be on display and there is entertainment by Buddy Holly and Roy Orbison impersonators.

PROSTAID Executive Director Kelly Fedorowich says a Calgary Stampeder will also be at the event taking pictures and signing autographs.

“The Dark Side Racing Top Field Dragster will be there doing a fire up for our Fire Up for Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign. Quinn Smith is going to be joining us from the Calgary Stampeders. He’s going to be climbing into the cockpit of the dragster and helping us to raise awareness for prostate cancer,” she said.

The Fun in the 50s Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday in the parking lot of the Grey Eagle Casino.
