YWCA receives donation and extended lease before moving

It’s a big donation for the YWCA from the company that has purchased the land that it currently occupies.
Great Gulf has given the YWCA $500,000 and also offered a two-year, no cost lease until a new location is found.
The lease, which now extends until November 2019, means the YWCA will have a degree of certainty as it plans for that move to the new site.
The new location should be announced within the next month or so.
Once the YWCA leaves the downtown 5th Ave S.E. location, Great Gulf will take control and has plans for a major mixed used development including residential, commercial, office and institutional uses.
