Social media has played a massive role in connecting evacuees and keeping them in touch with what’s happening in their fire-ravaged community.
Jordan Redshaw and Robin Smith are with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo — behind the constant twitter updates ensuring what people need to know gets to them.
Both a part of larger team with the region that are working non-stop.
“There’s people up here, obviously that left their families to come back. Redshaw says part of their job is to stop the spread of rampant mis-information and rumours which can be confusing and damaging.
