Alberta may be going through extremely tough times but, according to a new survey, the person in charge is one of the more trustworthy premiers in Canada.
According to the inaugural Can-Trust Index by Environics Communications, 34 per cent of those surveyed trust their premier.
The specific number to Notley isn’t being released, but CEO Bruce MacLellan said it greatly boosted the overall average.
“Premier Notley does seem to have maintained a higher than average level of trust with people in Alberta compared to other premiers,” he said. “Trust can come down to the confidence people have in the person doing what they say they will do, it doesn’t automatically translate into support at the polls.”
When it comes to leaders, the study says 52 per cent trust their own CEO/boss the most, followed by their mayor, the prime minister and then their premier.
