Calgarians showing City Council some love on Valentine’s Day

A local Calgarian is showing City Council a little love for Valentine’s Day.
The latest thing on local Twitter feeds on Friday were Valentine’s cards featuring all 14 councilors, as well as mayor Naheed Nenshi, with a twist on their names.
Alyssa Moore, the woman behind the cards, says she saw the idea used with one councilor’s name on Facebook, and decided to take on the challenge of finding puns for every councilor.
She told 660 NEWS, so far this is a one time thing, but there is room for expansion.
“I feel like I should have gone bigger,” Moore said. “I should have targeted federal cabinet, but I also feel like that wouldn’t have resonated quite so close to home and been such a community kind of feel. I’m quite happy with City Council for now.”
