A woman’s death, which was originally considered a suicide in March, has now been deemed homicide.
Early in the morning on Mar. 28, police responded to a home in the 200 block of Pinetree Bay NE for reports of a dead woman.
The victim’s boyfriend said he found his girlfriend after what appeared to be a suicide.
After additional testing done by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death of the woman, 31-year-old Sheri Michelle Carpen, is now a murder.
Her boyfriend, 32-year-old Luke Anthony MacLeod, was arrested in Coaldale, AB on Wednesday, Nov.25.
He has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to Carpen’s death.
The cause of death is not being released at this time.
Police say there was no reported domestic violence between the pair.
