Siksika voters blast Elections Canada for running out of ballots

Wait times of more than 45 minutes and reports of voters being turned away caused outrage at a polling station east of Calgary.

Lowa Beebe, Treaty 7 social media manager, spoke to voters on the Siksika First Nation after Elections Canada reportedly ran out of ballots.

She told 660 NEWS that she is outraged by this.

“So you have 7,000 registered members. 400 ballots were brought to the Nation this morning. They knew hours ago that they were getting very low. They knew that this was going to be a high turnout.”

Beebe was told more ballots were on the way.
