Woman driving wrong way down Stoney in medical distress

Friday afternoon was met with a brief scare for drivers in the northeast as a car was spotted traveling the wrong direction on Stoney Trail.
First responders confirm told 660 NEWS a woman driving the reverse way on northbound lanes shortly after 3 p.m. was having medical issues.
The car was stopped safely around Country Hills Boulevard where EMS were able to assess the woman.
It is unclear what kind of medical situation caused the mishap.
Traffic was backed up past McKnight Boulevard while police worked to clear the scene.
