High-risk offender released into Calgary area

The Calgary Police Service has announced a high-risk offender has been released into the Calgary area after serving a seven-year federal prison sentence for manslaughter.

28-year-old Kevin Ronald Brooks was released Tuesday and has a history of violent offences, including violence against strangers, people known to him, and peace officers.

His past offences have been committed in Edmonton, Drumheller and Saint John, New Brunswick and he will be monitored by the CPS High Risk Offender Program.

He is Caucasian, approximately 160 pounds, 6’ tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He also has multiple tattoos, including one around his neck, and tear drops by the corner of his right eye.
