Body pulled from Elbow River

A body has been pulled from the Elbow River.
Calgary police Sgt. Corey Mah said it was discovered around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon near 50th Ave. S.W. in Altadore by the water treatment plant.
“A member of the public called to advise us that there was a body,” he said. “We’re not making any commitment on whether or not it was a suspicious death or not.”
This comes a week after a body from the Bow River by Riverfront Avenue, which was determined to be not suspicious.
The Homicide Unit has been notified.
