Calgary police are treating a body pulled from the Bow River Wednesday afternoon as a suspicious death.
The body was taken out of the water around 5 p.m. just west of the Langevin bridge.
Sgt. Corey Mah said the homicide unit has been called in and the person’s age and gender are being held back for now.
“We’re working on positive identification of the person,” he said, adding it was an adult’s body.
A witness told 660News he noticed a jacket in the river in the same spot where the body was found around 1:45 p.m., but couldn’t see a body at the time.
