Airdrie police search for suspect after armed robbery at gas station

Airdrie RCMP are searching for the suspect in an armed robbery at the Fas Gas Station on Main Street.

Police say a man entered the store with a large knife in hand. The suspect then threatened the clerk with the knife and demanded money and cigarettes.

He then struck the clerk with his fist and fled on foot after collecting the cash drawer and cigarettes.

There were no serious injuries.

The man is described as black, 6′ – 6’2″ inches tall, with a skinny build wearing a white hoodie, blue jeans and black boots.
