Horse racing returning for Cowtown fans

Horse racing is coming back to the Calgary area.
The Century Downs Racetrack and Casino in Balzac is set to open April 1st, just east of CrossIron Mills.
Paul Ryneveld tells 660News, crews are busy putting together the final touches on…
“There is a lot of work still going on, on the exterior with the racetrack, the barn, before opening of live racing which will be later in April,” Ryneveld said.
The first races are slated to start April 25th.
The $24-million venture will have over 500 gaming machines, restaurant and bars and an off-track betting lounge.
Ryneveld said it has created 113 full time jobs.
