Petition started to take down naked sushi caterers

One of Canada’s first naked sushi caterers is drawing the ire of feminists in Vancouver who’ve started a petition to BC’s Health Authority to shut it down.

The company, based on the west coast, provides what they call a “traditional Japanese dining experience” where naked models are essentially used as platters laying down with the food displayed on their bodies.

According to the National Post, those against the business say it is not only “gross” from a health standpoint, but also a sexist practice of “commodyfying women’s bodies”.

Supporters say the dining experience is a form of art.
