Province to hold flood prevention and improvement symposium in Calgary

The province will host a one-day symposium to talk about the process and further improvements they plan to make to prevent future flooding and drought.

This is a follow up to a flood mitigation symposium held in October 2013.

Officials expect to share the latest updates on snowpack data and river forecasting.

Experts will also talk about the critical role natural headwaters play in mitigation.

The event will be held Tuesday, April 29th, at the BMO Centre.
