Another food collection record falls at Stampeders game

An amazing showing at McMahon Stadium Friday.

But not just by the Calgary Stampeders who destroyed the Saskatchewan Roughriders 42-27.

The fans showed up with food in hand to help the Calgary Food Bank through the Purolator Tackle Hunger program.

In fact, a record 157,100 pounds of food was accepted as fans entered the stadium Friday night.

It’s the third year in a row Calgary fans have set a new record.

Members of the Stampeders will head to the food bank in the near future to help sort all the food that was collected.
