We’re into day six of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth and there’s no shortage of fun in the city.
Calgary chefs Darren Maclean of downtownfood, Dave Bohati from MARKET and Aviv Fried of Sidewalk Citizen Bakery are battling it out in the Ultimate Pancake Cook-Off.
According to the rules, their versions of the Stampede breakfast staple must include bacon.
The chefs will square-off in Olympic Plaza Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.; the winner will be picked by celebrity judges.
Later today, there’s a huge party at Fort Calgary for this year’s Stampede Roundup.
Kicking it off is Sloan at 4 p.m., then Cheap Trick at 6 p.m., followed by headliner Def Leppard at 8:30 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds from the sold-out show will go to flood relief for the city.
And you’ll find some big names performing on Stampede grounds.
Canadian rockers Big Wreck are headlining the Coca-Cola Stage, and Nashville North will be featuring country star Jason Blaine.
Both of those shows start at 9 p.m.
