Another building for Calgary’s homeless women

Fourteen single women, who were previously experiencing homelessness will now have a permanent home.

The YWCA and the Calgary Homeless Foundation announced the opening of another building on Tuesday.

Residents will have access to safe, secure and affordable housing, as well as the continued support of the YWCA’s case managers, who will help them rebuild and achieve self-sustainability.

The women will live independently in self-contained units and pay rent each month.

The building was purchased by the CHF last January, thanks to capital grants from municipal affairs and a huge donation from a private donor.
