A Calgarian is facing child molestation charges in the U.S. after police say they found him in a hotel room with a 13-year-old girl.

The 22-year-old man was arrested near Seattle, Washington on February 18th.

Cops say an investigation was launched after they received a call from the girl’s father.

Police allege the teen was communicating with a man via the Internet and text messages since last November.

The Calgary Sun reports Garnet Thomas is charged with second degree child molestation and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
