Are the days of towing your car to the shop behind us?
Not quite, but according to Crowfoot Brake and Muffler’s Darryl McLean, consumers are getting more bang for their buck nowadays.
He tells 660News it’s all thanks to computers that make engines run much more efficiently.
McLean adds back in the 70’s, the average car would visit the mechanic around five times a year, but because manufacturers now pride themselves on reliability, they’re lucky to see you once.
He also stresses the importance of regular maintenance and says it’s the easiest way to avoid a bill that could set you back a mortgage payment.
