NB Macleod Trail lanes to re-open for morning rush

There is good news for commuters who use Northbound Macleod Trail as all four lanes will be open for the Friday morning rush.
City officials will stay on scene overnight following the water main break near the BMO Centre but will move the barricades for the rush.
Sean Somers with the City of Calgary explains what lies ahead over the next few hours before the road re-opens to traffic.
“The folks out there are going to have to keep an eye on the pavement,” Somers said. “Obviously there are lots of things that contribute to how fast or not that would cool and dry like the weather and the wind and all kinds of things.”
Somers couldn’t say for sure what might have caused the pipe to fail and the sinkhole to open early Wednesday morning.
