Special Olympics Calgary’s Golf Classic
This years 19th annual Special Olympics Calgary Golf Classic is happening on Monday, June 25th.
The SOC Golf classic is hosted annually to raise funds and awareness supporting the sport programs ran locally in Calgary for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Special Olympics Calgary (SOC) is a volunteer driven registered charity whose mission is to enrich the lives of Albertans with an intellectually disability through sport. But Special Olympics is more than just sports, and a one time event. Special Olympics is in the community every day of the year, providing a combination of fun, fitness and social activity that helps build the confidence and life skills of our athletes. SOC has over 800 athletes with support and coaching from 300+ volunteers, participating in 21 different summer and winter sports.
