Calgary under heat warning for the next few days

Environment Canada has placed the city of Calgary and much of southern Alberta, under a heat warning for Monday and Tuesday.

You can expect daytime highs of 29 degrees or more, while overnight it will stay around 14 degrees.

EMS spokesperson Stuart Brideaux said, there are a few key things to remember to avoid heat stroke or exhaustion.

” Always carry your own shade, always wear a hat. A ball cap or anything that will keep the heat and sun off your neck, especially children,” said Brideaux.

He adds, its important to stay hydrated and wear at least SPF 30 sunscreen.
