The Airdrie RCMP are warning the public about a gold jewellery scam.
There have been 12 reported incidents in Airdrie between May 25 and June 13.
Suspects, both men and women, approach people in parking lots, or gas stations and offer fake gold jewellery for sale, as gifts, or to trade for gas.
Members say some have given a story about having a broken, or lost bank card and are unable to fund a trip, others have children with them.
Police want the public to be aware of this scam, and anybody with information is asked to contact Airdrie RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
