City studying plans for Airport LRT service

The city is holding two open houses to allow Calgarians to give input on connecting the LRT to the airport.

The Airport Transit Study – Green Line to Blue Line Connector will review technical requirements and provide estimates of capital and operating costs, land requirements, infrastructure requirements, and community impacts.

Among other things, the document will include recommendations for the number and location of stations between the future 96 Avenue NE Green Line station and 19 Street NE.

The first open house is being held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Harvest Hills Alliance Church.

The second event is from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on July 4 at the Genesis Centre in the northeast.
