Pro-pipeline rallies planned across BC

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) – Organizers are calling it the largest pro-resource rally ever to be held in Canada.

Supporters of Kinder Morgan will be out in several communities across the province today. They plan to show their support for the controversial Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project.

The rallies are happening in Langley, Kitimat, Fort St John, Nelson and Smithers.

In Langley, supporters will gather at the Milner Chapel. The crowd is expected to include MLAs, political candidates, and some members of the Cheam First Nation.

The Suits and Boots rally will take place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in the large parking lot behind the Milner Chapel in Langley.

Meantime, the rallies in Kitimat, Fort St John and Nelson will include motorcades to draw attention to their pro-pipeline message.

The gatherings all come just five days before the May 31st deadline imposed by Kinder Morgan, which has asked for more assurances the project will go ahead without any delays.
