Calgary house fire remains under investigation

Heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from a home Wednesday night in Calgary’s northeast.

Around 7:30 p.m., the Calgary Fire Department responded to the fire in the 300 Block of Manora Drive northeast.

Crews said they battled the fire and were able to contain it to the original home, preventing it from spreading to adjacent residences.

No one was home during the fire, but officials say five people have been displaced, since they will not be able to re-enter the residence at this time.

Investigation into the fire continues.
