Three dead after highway crash near Irricana

A southern Alberta highway was closed for several hours on Friday after a serious crash.
It happened shortly after 10 a.m., on Highway 9 south of Township Road 284.
EMS say three people were killed in the incident, a man and a woman in their 20s and a 69-year-old woman.
A five-year-old girl was airlifted to the Alberta Children’s Hospital, by STARS Air Ambulance, with serious injuries.
RCMP say a car and an SUV collided sending one of the vehicles into the ditch.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
