VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – After issuing a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest, a high-risk sex offender who didn’t return to his halfway house on Friday night has been arrested.
Vancouver Police say they arrested 47-year-old Stanley Lee Porter, a two-time federal offender, Saturday evening near Powell Street and Jackson Avenue.
They say they were acting on a tip.
The 47-year-old has an extensive criminal history that dates back more than two decades. He’s currently serving a long-term supervision order after being convicted for sexual assault and sexual interference.
