There were no injuries, but Cochrane RCMP are reminding people to slow down after dealing with back-to-back crashes, including one that involved a car that went up in flames.
The scene was cleared after a crash Sunday morning on Highway 1 near Highway 22, when a car caught fire.
Cpl. Curtis Peters said Mounties also responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 1 near Calaway Park.
“The weather conditions at the time, probably were a contributing factor. There was a lot of slippery sections and still is on the highway. Anyone traveling back to the city or towards the mountains should be careful today,” Peters said.
Both crashes were cleared by Sunday afternoon.
