Calgarians are asked to be Snow Angels

One Calgary city councillor says he’s a big fan of the Snow Angels program and is hoping Calgarians will grab a shovel and pitch in after the dump of snow Wednesday and Thursday.

Ward 12’s Shane Keating said there are a lot of less able-bodied Calgarians out there who might need an extra hand.

“I think that’s what Calgarians do, is when they’re needed they, you know, they drop and they go forward and they help,” he said. “With the amount of snow that we’re expecting in the next little while neighbour, for neighbour, and, you know, family members, or whoever can actually help out, will be absolutely fabulous.”

According to the program’s page on the City of Calgary website, becoming a snow angel is as easy as adopting something like the sidewalk in front of your home.
