Journey of a Lifetime at Heritage Park

One of the largest waves of immigration in Canadian history is depicted in a new exhibit at Heritage Park.

The Journey of a Lifetime is an interactive experience looking at the people, their stories, the places they saw and their journey as they travelled west in very basic colonist railway cars.

Barb Munro with Heritage Park says the exhibit delves deeper into this uniquely Canadian experience.

“This is a great opportunity for people to come in and learn about this huge wave of immigration that happened. Learn about the settlement of Western Canada and it’s an opportunity for them to share their own immigration stories,” said Munro.

Included in the show is one of the oldest and last remaining colonist cars in the country. The exhibit was initially launched in 2017, then travelled across the country, finally returning to Calgary.

The exhibit runs from January 23rd through April 22nd.

Ticket prices are: General Admission $10.95, Youth (7-15) $6.95, Child (3-6) $5.65 and Senior $8.75
