Woman rushed to hospital after truck collides with CTrain

It took the jaws of life to reach a woman stuck in a crushed pickup truck that collided with a CTrain.
At about 10:30 Saturday morning, EMS, the Calgary Police Service and the Calgary Fire Department responded to the scene at 7th Avenue and 1st Street S.W.
Stuart Brideaux, with EMS, says the woman was rushed to hospital.
“After an extrication we did take her to Foothills Hospital. [She’s in] serious condition at this time but stable and believed to be non-life threatening,” said Brideaux.
CTrain service was shut down along 7th Avenue in both directions for several hours but has since been re-opened.
