Weather being blamed for fatal crash west of Brooks

Thick, dense fog with zero visibility is getting the blame for a fatal crash earlier Friday west of Brooks.

The crash between two tractor trailers happened in around 9 o’clock in the morning at the intersections of Highways 1 and 36.

The lone male driver of the eastbound truck from Manitoba was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second driver from Alberta was taken to Brooks Hospital with minor injuries.

Brooks RCMP had reduced lanes of traffic while they conducted an investigation, it’s going to remain reduced while they clear the wreckage.

Mounties add they won’t be releasing any names.
