One in three used cars have been in a crash: study

A lot of Calgarians could be driving around in used cars with a checkered history.
A report by the vehicle history search company CarProof suggests nearly one-in-three previously-owned cars in this city have been in an accident.
The company says its research discovered 31 per cent have accident or damage history.
CarProof suggests you look for a reputable, licensed dealer when you’re in the market for a used vehicle, and get as much information about the car’s history as possible.
The company’s president says even if your report shows past damage, it doesn’t mean the car isn’t right for you, but at least you’ll know what kind of repairs you might be looking at down the road.
