There will be no more long-answer questions on mandatory Alberta tests.
The province plans to cut the written answer portion of grade 3, 6, 9 and 12 achievement tests.
Critics say it’s purely a move to save money.
Hiring teachers to grade the written answers costs about $1.5 million, while purely multiple choice tests can be marked through a machine.
