More murderers are using knives in our city.
Over 40 per cent of homicides in Calgary now involve a knife. That’s the highest rate of any city in the country.
Police tell the Calgary Sun they’re not surprised, because knives are so much easier to get than guns.
Between 1999 and 2008, cities across Canada saw a big hike in the rate of homicides using a knife.
