The mother of 16-month-old Summer Hope took the stand in her own defense today.
She is accused in the death of her daughter after she drank her father's methadone.
Lisa Guerin is refuting much of the testimony of yesterday's witness.
Amanda MacDonald testified that Lisa knew the baby had drank the chemical, but she denies that.
In today's testimony, Guerin also attacked yesterday's witness, saying the woman was doing cocaine on the day that the baby drank the methadone.
She told court that she hugged the girl and her older brother before leaving for the weekend to work as an exotic dancer in central Alberta.
Guerin testified that she would have taken both children to hospital if she believed they had touched methadone.
